\nDr Bolli Bjarnason has more than 20 years of experience<\/strong> in cosmetic dermatology, general dermatology, paediatric dermatology, gynecology and skin allergies. His experience includes working at hospitals, outpatient units and clinics in the United States, Sweden (Karolinska hospital) and in Denmark for a total of 9 years.<\/p>\n

ACCREDITATION AND TRAINING<\/h2>\n

Dr Bolli defended his doctoral thesis at the Karolinska Instituted in Stockholm in 1999. His thesis on laser technology and allergies carries the title “Laser Doppler Imaging of Patch Tests – A Methodological and Comparative Study with Visual Assessments”.<\/p>\n

Dr Bolli has received accreditation for his postgraduate studies from the American Academy of Dermatology and The American Medical Association. <\/p>\n

He has written extensively for many of the worlds most renowned scientific journals. This includes the Journal of Investigative Dermatology as well as Contact Dermatitis. He has also published numerous scientific articles in the journals of PubMed (Medline) and held lectures for various audiences including the Society for Investigative Dermatology in the United States.<\/p>\n

In Iceland, Dr Bolli has appeared in television and radio interviews as well as writing for multiple journals, educational materials and newspapers. <\/p>\n

Please observe that in Iceland we have many illegal laser clinics without specialists in dermatology or plastic surgery as required for safety reasons by the authorities. We participate in the training of students in the health sciences studying at the University of Iceland.<\/p>\n
